Handmade beach or floral bookmark and are made using seaglass, sand, pebbles and shells. Or why not add dried flowers?
What is seaglass? In Seaham 100 years ago, a bottle factory dumped waste glass daily into the sea. In turn the glass has been tumbled and shaped by the waves to create their look. The seaglass is also known as mermaids’ tears.
Each beach or floral bookmark is different and therefore unique!
The resin is mixed with a hardener and decorated then left to cure in a mould for at least 48 hours. The piece is then polished when completely dry. A tassel or ribbon is also added to the piece.
Please note that due to the pouring process there may be slight imperfections and colours may vary.

I have been making jewellery from metal clay for a few years. I completed a year long course at the London Jewellery School in September 2015 resulting in a Diploma in Creative Jewellery. This included learning many techniques using silver clay. Other skills include fused glass, resin, perspex, enamelling and silversmithing. I also attended an intensive 3 day course with Tracey Spurgin at Craftworx in Beverley, which enabled me to demonstrate different skills and techniques in working with silver clay. This resulted in me achieving Art Clay Silver Level 1 Diploma (ACWUK) in April 2016, which qualifies me to teach basic silver clay classes. I subsequently embarked on a ring making workshop with Natalia Coleman.
Recently I was presented with the North Tyneside Business of the Month award. Voted by my customers and reflecting some feedback from people who have completed a course with me.
