Handmade beach themed initial keyring made using seaglass, sand, pebbles and shells. For colour there is transparent blue and white tints added.
Each piece is different and therefore unique! The length is approximately 4.5cm. The width varies between 1-6cm.
What is seaglass?
In Seaham over 100 years ago, a bottle factory dumped waste glass daily into the sea. Waves therefore tumble and shape the glass. I am lucky however to live close by to beautiful Northumberland beaches. At low tide frosted glass pieces or ‘mermaid tears’ can be found on the sand.
The resin is mixed and cured in a mould.
The beach themed initial keyring is polished to a high standard when dry.
Please note that due to the pouring process however, there may be slight imperfections and colours may vary.
Email me at Claire@ToDot.co.uk if you would like another colour or have any specific requirements.
Please allow three weeks to make. I will confirm at the time of ordering the expected delivery date.
The price also includes UK postage and packaging.
I have been making jewellery from metal clay for a few years. I completed a year long course at the London Jewellery School in September 2015. This resulted in a Diploma in Creative Jewellery. I learnt many techniques using silver clay. Other skills include fused glass, resin, perspex, enamelling and silversmithing. I also attended a 3 day course. This enabled me to demonstrate different skills and techniques in working with silver clay. This resulted in me achieving Art Clay Silver Level 1 Diploma (ACWUK) in April 2016. This therefore, qualifies me to teach basic silver clay classes.
North Tyneside Business of the Month award reflects comments from people who have completed a course with me. This was in 2018.
