This silver butterfly pendant is created using Art Clay Silver. Once the clay has dried the pendant is sanded, polished and fired resulting in 99.9% pure silver pieces. It is then finished to a high polish by hand.
The measurement of the handmade silver butterfly pendant at its widest is approximately 2.5cm x 2.5cm and 0.2cm thick.
The pendant has been oxidised to create an antique look.
The pendant is then attached to a 16” (40cm) sterling silver necklace using two sterling silver jump rings.
Price also includes UK postage. Postage will be deducted and free delivery given within North Tyneside
About me
I have been making jewellery from metal clay for a few years. I completed a year long course at the London Jewellery School in September 2015 resulting in a Diploma in Creative Jewellery. This included learning many techniques using silver clay. Other skills include fused glass, resin, perspex, enamelling and silversmithing. I also attended an intensive 3 day course with Tracey Spurgin at Craftworx in Beverley, which enabled me to demonstrate different skills and techniques in working with silver clay. This resulted in me achieving Art Clay Silver Level 1 Diploma (ACWUK) in April 2016, which qualifies me to teach basic silver clay classes. I subsequently embarked on a ring making workshop with Natalia Coleman.
Recently I was presented with the North Tyneside Business of the Month award. Voted by my customers and reflecting some feedback from people who have completed a course with me.
